Droughtiness at Cagbalete Island - May 2014

For you to reach the Cagbalete Island, you need to ride a boat at Mauban Port. The ride will take around forty-five (45) minutes to one (1) hour, and costs Php50.00.

As a person with fear of deep blue water, I need to endure the long ride. We were all excited when we saw the island from afar! Oh, what a beauty!

Cagbalete Island

And hola! We need to walk one (1) km just to reach the resort due to low tide. It felt like forever. I was not expecting this. HAHA.

FINALLY! We've reached the resort! My goodness.
We stayed at Villa Cleofas. It's a simple kubo type cottage which costs Php3,000.00 good for 12 persons. We rested and took pictures (Cagbalete Island is picturesque during low tide) until 5:00 PM to wait for the sea to reach the shore. At night, people were building bonfires. Of course, we also did ours.

I loved the sea when the sun shined the next morning. Everything was crystal clear! This was the best time to swim! But we need to checked out around 11:00 AM and ride the boat back to Mauban Port before low tide.

I can say that Cagbalete Island is okay for barkada getaway!

Summer Fling at Anvaya Cove Nature Club, Morong, Bataan - May 2014

Every year, each center of our Company schedules a team building, also known as "Summer Fling." This year, we chose Anvaya Cove Nature Club which is located at Morong, Bataan. It was my first year in DAP, thus, this was also my first time joining this "Summer Fling."

The place is exclusively for members, that is why it is quiet and peaceful. I guess we were the only ones who are so loud during that time. HEHE

Infinity pools, lounge pool, and lap pool are just some of the facilities of the resort. Jacuzzi is also available.

The beach has a fine, not-so-white sand, and a clear water.

Perfect view for relaxation!
Folding chairs under the trees are also available

Not-so-white sand
Anvaya Cove Nature Club is a perfect place for chilling out, and I guess not for team building. HAHA. But we still enjoyed our stay! Our team is actually planning to go back here. :)

Pampanga Tour - April 2014

Every year, Pampanga celebrates the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. It is where everything you see, flies. The fiesta was held in Lubao, Pampanga, instead of Clark, Pampanga. We reached the venue around 4:30 AM in the morning and people were already taking pictures of the balloons.

Nope, this is not one of the hot air balloons. I thought so too.
Preparing to fly!
Hello, Mr. Angry Bird.
Around 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM, it is time for the balloons to fly! I just wish that the next time I go here, I will be able to ride one of those balloons. Oh, bucket list. Hehe.

On-going proposal
Everyone's attention was lured by this cute ice cream balloon. This might be the cutest proposal I've seen so far. HAHA.

So right after the hot air balloon fiesta, we went directly to Nayong Pilipino located at Clark, Pampanga.

We also got the chance to watch a cultural show.

Our last stop was at Paradise Ranch which is also located at Clark, Pampanga. There are various things here that you can do!

If only we had our swim suit during that time...

Feed the hungry fishes!

Our Pampanga Tour was all worth it! (Kahit hilong hilo na kami sa init. Haha.) We would like to thank Asian Metro Tours & Events Co. for this trip!

Adventures at Puting Buhangin and Kwebang Lagpas, Pagbilao, Quezon - May 2013

We started our trip by a one-hour jeep ride from Lucena to Pagbilao, Quezon. Most of the roads are highways and you will know if you are near your destination once you feel your ride being bumpy cause of rough road.

Once you've reached the stop point, you need to ride a bangka to cross the lake.

But adventure doesn't stop there! You still need to trek for 10-15 minutes after the boat ride. The trek was quite difficult since we brought food and drinks with us, plus the ground was slippery. And since it was high tide, we still need to cross another stream which was almost waistline deep (or maybe I'm just short).

Kwebang lampas during high tide.

And alas! We've finally reached our destination! The place has not yet been developed. There are no hotels to stay-in, only small cottages, and comfort rooms are in kubo type.
But other than that, it was a perfect place for camping. Cliffdiving can also be done there. Unfortunately, I'm not good at swimming and was not able to try it, though my friends did. HUHU.

What I loved about the beach: its white sand and crystal-like water.

You can almost see my feet under water!

Kwebang Lampas during lowtide.
Around 4 to 4:30 PM, it was already lowtide, and that was the time we planned to walk inside the cave. There is nothing much in the cave during lowtide, but a bizarre during hightide.

The struggle is real.
All-in-all, the place is perfect for barkadas, and for those who want some challenges before reaching the paradise!

Perfect Weather at Residence Inn, Tagaytay - December 2012

This was actually my first time to visit Tagaytay with my friends, not relatives. The weather was perfect! The sun was up and the wind was so cold we were all shivering, not to mention we wore shorts during that time. Well, this was the kind of weather I was expecting. Just perfect!

Zip lines are common in Tagaytay. I bet all of the parks in Tagaytay have zip lines. Hehe. Residence Inn's zip line is quite interesting as you will be riding a cable car to go back to the other end. You will also be asked by the "manong" who is controlling the cable car if you want your ride to be intense or not. Yes, we chose "intense" cause we were so curious on what does he mean by that.

Scared that my shoes might fall down.
Currently waiting for the "intense" part.
The "manong" told us to hold tight and guess what, he stopped our cable car and tried to swing it back and forth! Good thing we are not scared of heights. HAHA. But yes, it was kinda scary.

This was also my first time to have a picture with a tiger. Yay! He was really focused on his milk though.

Tagaytay is also known for horseback riding. And of course, my trip will not be completed without riding a horse! Ha.
